LegalPrivacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit our website or contact us, and the rights you have in Canada, the UK, the EU and the US.
Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how AGO International Inc. ("AGO", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit agointl.com (the "Site"), contact us, or otherwise interact with us as a business contact. AGO International Inc. is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, AGO is the controller of that information.
Questions about this policy or our privacy practices can be sent to info@agointl.com.
Scope
This policy covers information collected through the Site and through business communications with prospective clients, clients, partners and other business contacts in Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union and European Economic Area, and the United States. Personal information we process as a service provider on behalf of a client is governed by our agreement with that client.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect your name, company, work email address, your area of interest and the contents of your message, along with any other details you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our analytics and advertising providers may collect technical and usage information, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies, as described below.
Business contact information. We may also receive business contact details from publicly available professional sources, referrals or partners in the course of our business development.
We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiry and arrange conversations about our services;
- manage our business relationship with you or your organisation;
- operate, secure and improve the Site;
- understand how visitors use the Site, through analytics;
- measure and improve our advertising, including on Meta platforms, where you have agreed to this where consent is required;
- send business communications that you have agreed to receive, or that the law otherwise permits; and
- comply with our legal obligations and protect our rights.
Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)
If you are in the United Kingdom or the EU/EEA, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Legitimate interests, to respond to business inquiries, manage business relationships and keep the Site secure, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Steps prior to a contract, where you ask us about entering into an engagement;
- Consent, for non-essential cookies and similar technologies (including analytics and advertising technologies) and for electronic marketing where consent is required; and
- Legal obligation, where we must process information to comply with the law.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
International transfers
AGO is based in Canada and has teams in several countries, including Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines. Our service providers may also process information in other countries, including the United States. Personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored or accessed in countries other than your own, whose data protection laws may differ.
Where we transfer personal information from the UK or the EU/EEA to a country without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to and follow up on inquiries, maintain business records and meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorised access, use or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
Canada (PIPEDA). You may request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to legal and contractual limits. You may also make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
United Kingdom and EU/EEA (UK GDPR and EU GDPR). You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing (including objecting at any time to direct marketing), to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office or the data protection authority in your EU/EEA country.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@agointl.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Notice to California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), may give you rights regarding your personal information.
Categories collected. In the past 12 months we may have collected identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address), professional information (such as company and role), internet or other electronic network activity (such as browsing activity on the Site), and approximate geolocation, from the sources and for the purposes described above.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of the Meta pixel and similar advertising technologies may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA. You can opt out by emailing info@agointl.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share", and we honour Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
Your rights. Subject to the CCPA's conditions, you may request to know the personal information we have collected about you, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorised agent to submit a request. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

We send commercial electronic messages only where we have your consent, express or implied, as permitted under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and other applicable laws, such as the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Every marketing email we send identifies AGO International Inc. and includes a working unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@agointl.com, and we will act on your request promptly and within the time required by law.
